Educate Your Customers
Posted by: | CommentsI spent 20 years of my life as a teacher. I taught special education, kindergarten, and 7th grade earth science. And, that’s all I’m going to say about that. My most recent experience has been in something I love: online learning. When I was pursuing one of my degrees, I became hooked on educational technology. My next degree hooked me on online learning. I never looked back, I had found my niche in the education industry.
But times change, and it is time to move on with my life, hence, the virtual assistant business I’ve started. I have been thinking a lot about exactly what direction I want my virtual assistant business to go, and this is what I’ve come up with:
Education can change people’s lives by changing the way they think about themselves and others. It starts small, but education does bring change, and if you are a small business owner, educating potential customers will change the way they think and often result in sales.
As a virtual assistant, I want to use education to increase profits for my clients by creating materials that educate customers, because as Dr. Chris Witt said, “A confused mind always says no”. Education is communication, and good communication conveys to the learner what she is eager to know. Have you ever been shopping online and become frustrated because the information (communication) wasn’t available to help you make an educated decision? What are the dimensions? What colors are offered? How does this thing work? You become frustrated and give up.
As a virtual assistant, I want to prepare websites, webinars, podcasts, and teleseminars that are so clear, so detailed, so simplistic that a customer will never leave a client’s site confused, will always understand, will purchase products and services, and will spread the word to others.
